SHIFTS23. This was the name of the leading business conference organized by the daily E15, which took place on 17. October 2023 in Forum Karlín with the support of ORGREZ ECO as a partner of the event. The conference aimed to reflect current trends and their impact on business and investment decisions. One of the important themes was sustainability, and in particular the tendency to approach its promotion as rationally and efficiently as possible.

Vladimír Hlavinka has spent a large part of his life at the highest levels of the energy business. He sat on the board of directors of the semi-state colossus ČEZ, where he was in charge of the nuclear power plants in Temelín and Dukovany, worked for many years in Russia and Holland, and managed the Tedom Group for billionaire Igor Fait. At the same time he develops his own company ORGREZ. “As a country, we have fallen asleep,” he says in an interview with CzechCrunch, assessing what has (not) happened in the energy sector in the Czech Republic over the last decade.

My blog today will be about sustainability. A term widely used, especially in the context of ESG. If we were voting for the word of the year in Europe, this would be a hot candidate for the winner. If you’ve been following me for a long time, I might surprise you at the outset.
