We introduced our green heating to representatives of towns and municipalities

On 8.-9.11. 2023, the INFRASTRUCTURE conference, an international meeting for representatives of cities and municipalities, regional institutions and municipalities, municipal companies and municipal services on the theme: What to do with infrastructure in the next 10 years?

We introduced our green heating to representatives of towns and municipalities

Topics such as community energy, the future of natural gas and hydrogen, and sustainable waste management, especially PET backup, resonated here.

On behalf of ORGREZ Group, the conference was attended by ORGREZ CEO and ORGREZ ECO Advisor for EU Taxonomy & Environmental Jan Krišpín together with ORGREZ ECO experts Veronika Vavrčíková and Jan Hanus.

Jan Krišpín, in the role of moderator, introduced the conference, summarized the impacts of the new EU directives in the field of RES, efficiency and energy efficiency of buildings and set out the objectives of the conference, which were:

  • To orient oneself in the current events.
  • To inform about the opportunities and threats of the current decade.
  • Share experiences in infrastructure planning and development.
  • To inspire and support each other.
  • To have the situation more firmly under control.
  • Be prepared for the future.
  • Economically, everything can be stabilized.

In the afternoon session, Jan Hanus presented ORGREZ services in the field of green heating – gradual transformation of fossil fuel-based sources towards RES in an economically sustainable and pragmatic way.

Overall, the conference led to four main conclusions:

  • Municipalities want to use the principles of community energy and are waiting for the legislation to be finalized.
  • In an environmentally and economically sustainable energy sector, we will not be without gas for a long time to come.
  • In the long term, it already makes sense to consider the use of hydrogen in public transport and heavy transport.
  • Individual regions are largely opposed to the backup of PET bottles because it threatens the economic stability of existing investments in waste infrastructure.
